M3M Foundation extends support to Lady Irwin College for their Skill Hub initiative under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0

Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, recently organised a training programme on "Paper Bag Maker", as part of Skill Hub initiative, under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0 of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation. Supported by M3M Foundation, the training programme scheduled for 130 hours began on March 30 2022, with a total of 29 enthusiasts participating in the programme. The training on “Paper Bag Maker” (SGJ/Q8702, V1.0) having NSQF Level Five is covered under the green jobs sector.
The valedictory ceremony and inauguration of the marketing center took place on the 22nd of April,2022, inside the college library. The event was graced and addressed by Prof. Anupa Sidhu, Director, Lady Irwin College in the gracious presence of Chief Guest Dr. Payal Kanodia (Trustee - M3M foundation, Dr. Gagan Preet Kaur (Consultant- Skill development & employment, Niti Aayog), Mr. Mohit Chadha (Managing Trustee - M3M Foundation) and Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan (President - M3M Foundation).
"The paper bag industry is a fast growing industry, and the government itself is also coming up with many schemes for the use of paper in place of products made of plastic for environmental protection and in this way through organizations like NSDC, organizations like Lady Irwin. This initiative to come forward and prepare a future generation of entrepreneurs is really commendable, and I congratulate the Department of Resource Management and Design Application and the entire team of Lady Irwin who successfully conducted this training and I am happy That M3M Foundation is a partner in this journey of yours and I want to assure the Government of India and NITI Aayog through Gaganpreet ji as well, that in the efforts being made for environmental protection, livelihood, education and health, we are just a phone call away." Dr. Payal Kanodia stated.
The programme ended with the candidates being felicitated. With initiatives such as this, M3M Foundation hopes to transform lives by boosting employment and instilling entrepreneurial spirit in young people. This particular Paper bag making initiative falls under the umbrella of “Kaushal Sambal,” a programme meticulously designed and implemented specifically for skill development and skill education.
