MachAutoExpo-2014 – A Mega Trade Fair from February 14-17

Ludhiana, February 5, 2014: `MachAutoExpo-2014’- a mega international exhibition has been scheduled to be held from February 14 to 17 at Glada Ground, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. Main features of this event are Auto Parts, Machine Tools, Engineering Machinery, Tractor Parts, CNC Machines, Handling Equipments and allied industries.  Nearly 250 participants from  all over the country and abroad are participating in this Trade Fair.  This is third such event being held in Ludhiana.  We had an overwhelming response from participants and visitors. Participants will get an opportunity to showcase their innovative products.  The event will definitely be an eye opener for the Industrial units in this region.  This will bring competitiveness and Punjab Industry will be immensely benefitted  to improve their product  technologically.  Actual users and visitors will also be benefitted by adopting latest technology in their units.   
Addressing a press conference here today, SS Dhillon, Director MSME-DI, Ludhiana said that such events like Machautoexpo are very necessary for the growth of the Industry of Punjab.  Their department has played a significant role in the improvement of conditions of MSME units.  In the past industrialists from Punjab were reluctant to showcase their product.  That is the reason that our Industry was lacking as comparing to other States.   But now due to awareness the Industry is coming forward and actively participating in domestic and international Trade Fairs.  Such Trade Fairs will certainly prove to be a land mark for the Industry.    In this exhibition also MSME Ludhiana is organizing National Vendor Development Programme.  He informed that many PSUs will be invited to the programme to show their needs and procurement policy for which Buyer Seller meet will be organized on 14th and 15th with the representatives of PSUs.  Keeping in view the importance of this sector the Government of India has created a separate Ministry of MSME for the upliftment of this sector.  Government of India has formulated various policies to give boost to small scale industries.  Provision of subsidy to such units for participating in various domestic and international exhibitions  has been made.
President Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (India), G.S. Kahlon has informed that Auto Parts industry has made significant improvement in technology development in the past few years.  Showcasing of auto parts by various manufacturers from all over the country in this Machautoexpo  will further  give a boost to this industry.  Visit of African Ambassadors for International, Conference during the exhibition is a new mile stone in  the history of the Ludhiana Industry.
Ranjodh Singh (G.S.T Group) , General Secretary, Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (India) said that  time has come to compete the global market by adopting  automation technology.  With this technology we can not only bring precision to our product but also  increase the productivity.  This is the need of the hour.  We have to overcome ever increasing shortage of skilled manpower.  We will have to shape up or ship out.  Machautoexpo will  provide an opportunity for small scale industry to improve their product.
Rajesh Jain, Senior Branch Manager, NSIC informed that their organization is doing its best to improve the conditions of small scale industry.  Subsidy is being provided to eligible MSME units for participating in exhibitions.  Apart from this many other schemes have been formulated for the benefit of the small scale industry.  We wish that events like Machautoexpo should be regularly organized in this city. Machautoexpo is expected to get buyers from across India, and also from Abroad. Foreign experts are likely to participate for the Seminar and technical session from Europe, USA and Australia.
