Maha Shivaratri celebrations: Ratha-yatra of Lord Shiva and his family on Feb.12 in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, February 4, 2018: Shivratri Mahotsva Committee, Ludhiana is to take out 31st massive Shobha Yatra (Ratha-Yatra) from the city markets on February 12, 2018, in connection with Maha Shivaratri celebrations.
In this connection, “Bhoomi Pujan” was held at Shiv Mandir, Gau Ghat, Ludhiana today (February 4, 2018), to seek blessings of Lord Shiva.
The Shobha Yatra (Ratha-Yatra) will be largely attended by thousands of devotees besides eminent religious, social, political leaders and educationists.
The Shobha Yatra (Ratha-Yatra) will begin from Shiv Mandir (Gau Ghat) at 9 am on February 12, 2018 and reach at Shree Ramlila Maidan Daresi from where at 12 o'clock it will proceed further. The Shobha Yatra (Ratha-Yatra) will pass through different city areas, including Ved Mandir, Sita Mata Mandir, Partap Bazar, Meena Bazar Chowk, Mata Rani Chowk, Clock Tower, Chaura Bazaar, Ghaas Mandi Chowk, Vaishno Devi Chowk, Shivala Road and Gaushala Road.

The main attractions of the shobha yatra will be gold made Swarup of Lord Shiva. Silver made Panchamukha Shiva Lingam and silver-made `Ratha’.
