New Delhi/Jalandhar, November 30, 2013: Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda has claimed that the State Government is going to develop more towns in Haryana on the pattern of Gurgoan. The city of Gurgaon has grown @293% in the last decade. NCR towns like Faridabad, Sonipat, Rohtak, Panipat have registered a phenomenal growth.
Hooda was speaking at the Mail Today Reality Conclave 2013-Building a New NCR organised by a media group in New Delhi today.  Hooda said that for the balanced development of National Capital Region (NCR), the infrastructure in the NCR towns will have to be brought at par with that of Delhi. State Government has prepared a Sub Regional Plan for this and has sent the same to the NCR Planning Board for consideration. On the request of the State Government, the Board has agreed to include two more districts of Mahendergarh and Bhiwani in the NCR.
Hooda said that better connectivity within and outside the NCR plays an important role in the development of the region. Rail connectivity between Rohtak and Rewari via Jhajjar has opened avenues for the development of the region. State is also trying for early implementation of Palwal and Rewari and Panipat –Meerut Rail links.
Hooda said that Gurgaon Metro link is already functioning. The work of Metro Projects at Faridabad and Bhadurgarh is in progress.  We have proposal to get Delhi Metro  link upto Kundli.  Two important RRTS Projects Delhi-Gurgaon-Rewari-Alwar and Delhi-Sonipat-Panipat are proposed to be executed in the State. The State Government has plans to develop a cargo airport near Meham
Later replying to a question regarding infrastructure development in Gurgaon, Hooda said that in the beginning, there were no clear proposals about separate parking. More problem is in old Gurgaon. There is proposal to build flyover and other steps are also being taken for decongestion. A sum of over Rs.1,000 crore has been sanctioned for the infrastructure development in Gurgaon.
About a question about the achievements in sports, Hooda said that in our sports policy, we have laid stress on three aspects- infrastructure development, talent hunt for providing proper training to promising players and guarantee of future of outstanding sports persons. We have the slogan-Padak Lao, Pad Pao.
On the question of law and order situation in Gurgaon, Hooda said that efforts are on to bring it at par with Delhi by adding to the fleet of PCR Vans and appointing more police personnel.
About toll plaza, Hooda said that, it is under NHAI. But the State Government has proposed to take it over even on payment and make it free. In future we may have proposal for no toll plaza even at Manesar.
