Kakinada,June 26, 2018: Deputy Chief Minister of AP Nimmakayala Chinarajappa inaugurates Social Impact Initiative to create entrepreneurial force in youth in tier-II and III cities in several district of Andhra Pradesh here at Surampalem near Kakinada today.

Part of the initiative, a Pilot Workshop “Learn to Innovate” began today at Aditya Group of Institutions, Surampalem, near Kakinada in East Godavari District of AP. Murali Mohan, Member of Parliament; Sesha Reddy, Chairman of Aditya Group; Srinivas Reddy, Director of Aditya Group; Seema Anil Kumar, Senior Advisor, Innovivi Centre of Excellence; Sri Divya, Founder of Innovivi Centre of excellence graced the inaugural function.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakalaya Chinarajappa said the Chief Minister of the State Chandrababu Naidu continually strives hard to make Andhra Pradesh an innovation hub. It is his wish to see that that state turns as an Innovation Valley. He wants to see AP as Innovation Society. Towards that direction, there is much importance given to skill development, while pursuing studies. So that when you graduate you will be job ready, he said.

The government was successful in bringing top ten colleges to the Capital of Andhra Pradesh. Even the colleges which are already existing in the state raised their standards so much to compete with these top ten colleges which set up shops at the Capital. Learn to Innovate is an excellent program. I understand that 3000 youth have applied for the same and only a few were selected to go through the same. The AP Government has set up incubation centers to create an ecosystem for entrepreneurship. So you need not just depend on the jobs, they can be on their own and start their enterprises, Deputy Chief Minister told them.

Concluding his address, Chinarajappa advised youth, technology is a doubled edged weapon. It is both good and bad. You must use it for good. Also, he advised them to travel safely by wearing helmets to back and forth to home and college as life is more precious than anything he told them.

Addressing the gathering Murali Mohan, MP quoting a well-known saying said, “If you want money power go to America. If you want manpower go to China/Japan. If you want brain power go to India”. It is a matter of great pride that we are known as brainy people. This brain can ignite an idea. Unfortunately nor more than 350 Engineering Colleges located in AP have good standards. The world is in your hands. Explore it. Don’t chase jobs. Think of giving jobs to ten other people. Take an example of Narayan Murthy of Infosys. Today he is giving employment of thousands of people.

This workshop is meant to ignite some brilliant ideas in you. A big tree takes birth from a small seed. Your small ideas can be nurtured through workshops like this one. Make use of the opportunity, he told the youth.
