Karuna Pandey as Pushpa on Sony SAB's Pushpa Impossible.

Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible has created quite the stir since it launched earlier this month. The show revolves around the protagonist, Pushpa (Karuna Pandey), a diligent mother, and an entrepreneur with a zeal for life and a can-do attitude which has always helped her move forward in life and bring up her three children. While life has thrown a lot of odd balls at her, she has always knocked them out of the park.

While Pushpa is very passionate about her work and proud of who she is, the will of a parent does loosen up when it comes to the desires of their children. Ashwin’s (Naveen Pandita) girlfriend Deepti (Garima Parihar) brings her parents to meet Pushpa to finalize their marriage which makes Ashwin very nervous because of the difference in their social and economic status. Pushpa reassures Ashwin that all will go well but there is a huge blunder when the cricket ball Pushpa was playing with hits Deepti’s mom. In a fit of anger Deepti’s mother doesn't hold back and insults Pushpa by calling her a ‘kaamwaali’. While a stranger's words don't hurt her as much, but when her own children do not take her side and blame her instead, she feels very bad.

Will Pushpa be able to change Deepti’s mother’s perception? Will she get the respect she deserves not only from society but also her family?

Karuna Pandey, who essays the role of Pushpa in the show says, “Pushpa is a determined and honest person, she is sincere and sticks to her principles, but she cannot tolerate being disrespected by her children or others. In today's society being educated is very important and Pushpa has some rough corners but that shouldn't be a reason to ridicule for her. She has worked hard and overcome all odds to raise her children in a respectable way, so it's unjust for her children to disrespect her for her lack of education. I love playing this role as it has such strong emotions and portrays a strong and bold woman of today's times.”
