Malerkotla police undertakes flag march to ensure law and order in the district
Malerkotla Police today carried out an extensive flag march across prominent areas of the city to exhibit their alertness and readiness to maintain communal harmony and public order.
Malerkotla, 21 January 2024: Malerkotla Police today carried out an extensive flag march across prominent areas of the city to exhibit their alertness and readiness to maintain communal harmony and public order.
The march was conducted under the direction of Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh and led by SP City Jagdish Bishnoi. It was participated by 200 police personnel including DSPs and SHOs from police stations across the district.
Covering major markets, sensitive locations, religious sites and public squares, the high-visibility march aimed to assure citizens and deter miscreants from disrupting peace through an impressive show of force.
SSP Khakh said any attempts to disturb communal amity or law and order will be dealt with strictly. He advised people to immediately inform police control room about suspicious activities and refrain from spreading rumours on social media.
The Malerkotla Cyber Cell is closely monitoring social media activities and warns that legal action will be taken against those posting inflammatory or provocative content. Citizens are advised to not share such posts that could cause communal disharmony.
Malerkotla Police appeals for public cooperation in maintaining the district's peaceful environment. Further support and guidance from citizens will be highly appreciated.
