Chandigarh, October 25, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has strongly condemned the controversial statements made by Congress Punjab President Raja Warring regarding the Jathedar. Kang questioned Warring, asking if he meant that the Jathedar is working under the direction of the BJP and Sukhbir Badal.
Kang referred to Warring's statement in which he said, "The Jathedar of Akal Takht is working according to a script written by the Badal family. The Badal family is not contesting elections themselves to help the BJP win because the BJP's candidate is Manpreet Badal."
Kang stated that although Raja Warring has apologized, his statement raises serious questions about the Congress party's intentions. He claimed that these individuals have always attempted to weaken Sikh institutions, and their attitude towards Sikh organizations has been disrespectful from the beginning.
He said that the Congress has a history of attacking Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the Golden Temple. Kang added that he wants to inform the people of Punjab that the Akali Dal Badal, Congress, and BJP have all worked against the Sikh community and have ruled Punjab together for decades.
He stated that these parties are all interconnected. They only speak about the community, Punjab, and Sikhs to serve their political interests. The people of Punjab will teach them a lesson. Kang asserted that the Jathedars of Sri Akal Takht Sahib have always been and will continue to be supreme, and no matter how hard these people try, they will not succeed in undermining them.
