Manipal Global partners with spread design and innovation to launch MIND
MIND from Manipal Global aims to build a culture of innovation in the industry
Bengaluru: Manipal Global Education Services in partnership with Spread Design and Innovation has announced the launch of Manipal Innovation and Design (MIND), an initiative that offers learning programmes in applied design, strategy and innovation to address real-world challenges, curated by renowned industry experts.
In-depth market research has shown that there is a significant demand for training in design strategy and innovation for non-design professionals. MIND offers programmes for working professionals and fresh graduates that empower learners with in-demand skills, strategies, and toolkits to seamlessly integrate into roles within business, strategy & technology. Programmes will be delivered through live online studio sessions, career assistance, and in-person sessions by experienced faculty members.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Subrat Mohanty, Group President, Manipal Education and Medical Group, said, “Design is the fundamental element of planning and strategy for every business. Ultimately, it is good design - be it in the product, the experience, or the technology - that truly differentiates one organisation from the other, one product from the next. MIND aims to offer programmes that will power-up a candidate’s imagination and enable them to apply design to every aspect of life to create impact.”
MIND is built on more than 50 years of knowledge of industry practitioners with transformational design experience in creating strategies and brands. They will help students by interacting with them, monitoring knowledge flow & grasp, and building right industry connections. In the process, they provide an academic edge and state of industry readiness that is unique to MIND.
Members on MIND’s Global Advisory Councils comprise visionaries like Sonal Dabral (Former Chief Creative Officer & Vice-Chairman India, Ogilvy), Kaleem Kamboj (Professor of Design Strategy, Parsons School of Design), Satyaki Raghunath (Chief Strategy & Development Officer, Bangalore International Airport), Deepak Menon (Partner Design & Research Director, Microsoft, former Chief Product Officer at Myntra, and Xoogler), Yu-kai Chou (globally acclaimed gamification designer), and Avnish Sabharwal (MD, Accenture Ventures, and innovation catalyst) amongst others.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sonia Manchanda, Co-Founder, Spread Design and Innovation, said, “Spread Design has been working on transformational projects in business, brand and experience design. We would like to share our global and local knowledge and expertise to shape the future of design and innovation. Through this partnership with Manipal Global, we intend to drive our commitment to all aspirants of MIND and transform the candidates into business-oriented creative leaders who shape the future.”
