Manipur CM meets Amit Shah

New Delhi, June 25 (HS): On Sunday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and union Home Minister Amit Shah met. The move comes a day after opposition parties called for the chief minister's resignation at an all-party conference in Delhi chaired by Amit Shah. N Biren Singh came in the national capital from Imphal this morning and spent roughly 45 minutes with Amit Shah at his home.
He informed him of the situation in Manipur and the actions being taken to restore normalcy in the state. According to reports, he later returned to Manipur again. On Saturday, Amit Shah convened an all-party conference with 18 parties to discuss the unrest in Manipur. Several opposition parties proposed sending an all-party delegation to the troubled state.
