Mann Government will spend Rs 12.07 crores for provide facility of sewerage system at Dirba and Handiaya: Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar

Chandigarh, January 3, 2023: Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Punjab government has decided to spend approximately Rs 12.07 crores for laying sewerage lines at Dirba in Sangrur and Handiaya in Barnala. In this regard, Office process has been started by the Punjab Water Supply Sewerage Board.
Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making all possible efforts to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the state. Working in this direction, development works are being carried out across the state.
Giving information in this regard, Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that approximately Rs 7.80 crores will be spent for Providing and Laying UPVC Pipe sewer and Construction of Manhole, providing sewer house connections and other related works in Dirba of Sangrur. He said that similarly, approximately Rs 4.27 Crores will also be spent for the work of Providing and Laying UPVC Pipe Sewer and Construction of Manhole, providing sewer house connections and other related works at Handiaya in Barnala district.
Minister said that the main objective of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution free environment to the people of the State. Therefore, the state government is giving special priority to the development works of the state.
He has directed the officials of the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board to ensure transparency and quality in the work of the department.
