Kids participate in Baisakhi celebrations at Maple Bear Canadian Play Way & Nursery School, Ludhiana on Friday.
Ludhiana, April 10, 2015: Maple Bear Canadian Play Way & Nursery School, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana celebrated Baisakhi with great fanfare & enthusiasm. Kids with the Punjabi attire celebrated Baisakhi in the true spirit by singing, dancing and enjoying the best of festive food. Cries of "Jatta Aai Baisakhi", reverberate the skies by the kids and they break into the bhangra and giddha dance to express their joy.
For the large farming community of Punjab and Haryana, Baisakhi marks a New Year’s time as it is time to harvest rabi crop. On Baisakhi, farmers thank god for the bountiful crop and pray for good times ahead.
Principal of the school Veena Aggarwal explained the importance of Baisakhi in Punjab to the kids & enjoyed the day with the kids.
