Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church, Ludhiana presents Christmas story through ‘Song of Seraphs’
Ludhiana, December 3, 2018: Festivities have already begun for Christians in Ludhiana with the magnificent Christmas programme, “Song of Seraphs” celebrated by Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church at Kalveri Church on Sunday (2nd December). Rt.Rev.Younas Massey, Bishop of CNI, Diocese of Chandigarh was the Chief Guest who also delivered the Christmas Message. He exhorted that as the light from that star illuminated the sky the night Jesus was born, and his light illuminate our lives at this special time of the year. The main attraction of the programme was CHOIR, consists of various English, Hindi and Malayalam carol songs, orchestrated by the MGOCSM students. Also, the evening was illuminated by a wonderful Choreography depicting the life of Jesus and various dances by the MGOCSM and Sunday school students of the Church, respectively. There was a skit narrating the story of Ten Virgins by Martha Mariyam Samajam members of the church. Rev.Fr.Robins Daniel welcomed all the guests. Dr.William Bhatti, Director, CMC&H was the Guest of Honour and he reminded all that Christ was born to save all the mankind from sin. The programme was graced by vicars of different parishes and Associate Director CMCH- Dr. Dhruv Ghosh, Principals of Christian Medical College, Dr. Jayaraj Pandian; Christian Dental College, Dr. Abi M Thomas and College of Physiotherapy, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Registrar & Vice Principal Dental College CMCH ,Dr. George Koshy. The function was attended by students of all the colleges of CMC&H and Christian fraternity from all of Ludhiana. The programme was culminated with the arrival of Santa with all the carol party to bless the gathering and Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Pradeep Rajan, Convener of the function.
