Marathon organised on occasion of Territorial Army Day at Dholewal Military Complex

Ludhiana, October 2, 2019: As a part of Territorial Army Day celebrations with an aim to promote healthy lifestyle and fitness amongst the citizens, the 103 Infantry Battalion (TA) Sikh LI organised a half marathon (21.1 km) run and a five kilometre run for all serving army personnel and their dependents in Dholewal Military Station Ludhiana today. The marathon was flagged off by Col PK Dwivedi, Commanding Officer, 103 Infantry Battalion (TA) Sikh LI. Col PK Dwivedi informed that the aim of this event was to project the Territorial Army as an epitome of physical fitness. The event was also organised in 30 other military stations across the country simultaneously today. A large number of defence personnel of various ranks and their dependents keenly participated thereby making the event a great success.
