Chandigarh, October 12, 2015: MARKFED has put the export of 62 eatable products in the country as well as to the various countries in the world on fast track.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of the MARKFED said that as a renowned cooperative of Asia, MARKFED clocks Rs.12000 crore annually.
The spokesman further said that MARKFED has been exporting basmati rice, saron da saag and packed vegetables, spices, achaar and muraba, khuban etc under 'Sohana' logo. 2000 metric tonne capacity Honey Industry is being established at Jalandhar soon and will operation by February, 2016.
He said that MARKFED id a pro-farmer institution which is procuring Wheat and Paddy from farmers along with leading supplier of DAVP fertilizer, high quality agro chemical, animal feed, eatable oil and daily use eatable items in the state.
He further said that MARKFED has supplied one lac 76 thousand metric DAVP fertilizer to the cooperative societies so that farmers could be saved from any kind of harassment in the hands of middlemen. Fertilizers are available at co-operative societies for sowing of wheat during the current season.
He appealed to the farmers, they may use MARKFED pesticides for the protection of their crops . It is mentioned here that MARKFED is playing a key role in the cooperative sector.
