Martyrs' Day celebrated at Innocent Hearts
Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, Loharan and Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated Martyrs' day to remember and pay tribute to the sacrifices of three extraordinary revolutionaries of India - Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar.
Jalandhar, March 23, 2024: Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, Loharan and Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated Martyrs' day to remember and pay tribute to the sacrifices of three extraordinary revolutionaries of India - Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar.
On this occasion, patriotic songs were sung, poetry recitation was done and painting exhibitions were held by the students in which they praised the sacrifices made by these freedom fighters. In these competitions, Tamanna (MLS 4th), Neelam (MLS 2nd) and Priyanka (BBA 4) topped the poetry competition. In the painting competition, Daisy (BCA 6) won the first prize.
A play based on the personality traits of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev was staged by the NSS Volunteers at Innocent Hearts College of Education, recreating various heroic events related to the Indian freedom struggle.
A slogan writing competition on the theme 'Reviving the slogans of immortal Indian freedom fighters' was also organised to remember the inspirational quotes like "Inquilab Zindabad" and "Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna ab Humare Dil mein hai, dekhna hai zor kitna baju-e-qatil mein hai". Ravneet Kaur and Gurpreet Kaur won first place in the slogan writing competition.
The event reminded the youth with the courage and determination of these martyrs in inspiring them to uphold the values of freedom and patriotism.
