Ludhiana, December 7, 2019: The Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) and District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE) Ludhiana today organised an awareness Camp under the Sankalp Programme at Government Senior Secondary School, Khanna today.
The Punjab Government is being organizing various events under the umbrella of Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal and CEO DBEE Mrs. Neeru Katyal Gupta.
While speaking on the occasion, DBEE Deputy CEO Mr. Navdeep Singh explained all schemes provided by the Punjab government in DBEE and facilities like Job Placements of these candidates, free of cost trainings, Loan facilities to start the business after these trainings etc.
SDM Khanna Mr. Sandeep Singh was the chief guest on the occasion. He interacted with students and explained the need of skill development in current situation as per the industry demands. He is also motivated candidates to select career goals in advance.
Mr. Prince, Training & Placement Manager, DBEE, stated that those candidates who are not able to continue further studies must attend certain skill course which will help youth to get employment. He said that the skill trainings provided by DBEE are free of cost, the student gets govt. of India approved certificate on the completion of training, there are assured job placements, after training one can start his/her own business, with the help of various loan facilities, stipend will also be given to students under few different schemes, special classes on Soft skills, IT, Personal Development will be provided. He informed that any school/collage dropout or any unemployed youth can get these training.
The other awareness camps under Sankalp programme would be held on December 9 at Bhagwan Mahavir Senior Secondary School, Raikot, on December 10 at Govt. ITI Boys, Samrala, on December 11at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Jagraon, on December 12 at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys, Payal and on December 13 at PAU Skill Development Centre, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. All these camps would start at 12:30 pm.
