MasterMinds-Tech Fest ends at Doaba College

Jalandhar, October 20, 2022: PG Dept. of Mathematics and PG Dept. of Computer Science and IT, Doaba College Jalandhar, organized DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India sponsored MasterMinds-Tech Fest. On the second day 20th Oct, Inter-College Tech Fest, more than 12 colleges and around 330 students from different colleges participated in the event. 
The Inaugural session began with the lighting of the auspicious knowledge lamp by Chief Guest Chander Mohan, President, Doaba College Managing Committee and Arya Shiksha Mandal.  Principal Dr. Pradeep Bhandari, Prof. KK Yadav, Dean, Academic Affairs, Prof. Arvind Nanda, Dr. Rajiv Khosla, Program Directors, Prof. Naveen Joshi and Prof. Gulshan Sharma, Organizing Secretaries. The Chief Guest was given a floral welcome. Ganesh Vandana was performed by Arshita of B Sc IT.

Principal Dr Prdeep Bhandari said that in the modern global competitive world it is very important to trin students to attune themselves in sciences nd ltest technology s it ultimyely enhances the skills of  student to face the competitve world.

In his Opening remarks, Prof. Naveen Joshi said that the objective of this event is to promote and ignite the interest of the students in Science and Mathematics. He further said that this event provides a common platform for students to present their innovative ideas.

In his Presidential address, the Chief Guest, Chander Mohan highlighted the importance of Science and Technology in the contemporary world. He motivated the students to keep abreast of the latest technologies to be successful in life. He also congratulated the Principal and faculty members for organizing and students for their participation in this Tech Fest. 

The students participated in various events in 25 events viz  Put Through the Wringer (IT quiz), Quizo (Science Quiz),Sip and Shout (Paper Presentation), Science Bowl (Extempore), Mathematics for Fun, Enjoyment, and Creativity, Academic Writing, E-Mix 'n' Match (IT Collage), Colour Krazy (Poster Making), Explore the web (Net Savvy), Ever so Clever (Logic Development), Waste Smart (Best out of Waste), Show your Web skills (Website Development), Innovation Showcase(Software Showcase), Glaze your Mobile App (Application Showcase), Mathi gon: (Mathematical Origami),(Paper Folding), Art in Science (Pre-Prepared Poster), Frame your Innovations (Model Exhibition), Expression with music (Choreography), Rock 'n' Roll (Group Dance), Fun with Science (Mathematical Skit), Best Science Teacher, Sandwich Board (Ad Mad Show), Clone(Mimicry), Rangometry (Rangoli Competition), Rap presentare (Enactment). Overal 1st position  was won by Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. DAV Jalandhar was 1st runner-up and KMV College, Jalandhar  was 2nd runner-up .The stage was conducted by Dr Shivika Dutta and Prof. Sakshi.
