Mayank Foundation celebrates Diwali with BSF Jawans and City Traffic Police
Distributed gift packs among them
Ferozepur: To share the greetings of Diwali, the iconic festival of the nation, the members of the Ferozepur- based NGO Mayank Foundation, visited the soldiers of BSF and the cops of the city traffic police and distributed gift packs among them.
The core members of the foundation visited the Hussainiwala Border early in the morning and shared greetings of Diwali with the army men guarding the border of India. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of the Foundation Rakesh kumar said, “The Jawans of the BSF are ensuring the safety of its citizens who are able to celebrate their festivals without any fear. This is possible thanks to the tight vigil maintained by our security forces that are away from their homes to execute the national duty. As a gesture of thanks and to share the festive feelings, our foundation has undertaken this noble task of meeting and giving away gifts to the personnel of BSF.”
After visiting the soldiers of BSF and paying obeisance at Martyrs’ Memorial of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, the members of the foundation proceeded towards the city to greet the staff on duty of traffic police. The cops were greeted with the gift packs as a gesture of thanks to ensure smooth movement of traffic round the clock. Kamal Sharma, a member of the foundation informed that the cops of the traffic police are on duty even on the day of Diwali to manage the rush of vehicles to avoid snarl up situations. Our foundation takes it as a moral duty to share greetings of Diwali with the city traffic police.
