Mayank Foundation invited by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to attend national- level webinar on road safety
Foundation to present the highlighting points of its road safety campaigns in the online event
Ferozepur, October 5, 2021: The intensive efforts of the Ferozepur- based NGO Mayank Foundation to check road mishaps has caught an eye of Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, which has invited the organisation to attend a national level webinar on road safety from October 6 to 8.
Notably, the activities organized by the Foundation havealready been shared by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on its various social media platforms. Now, the ministry has called upon the foundation to share their views on road safety through the online platform on ‘Road Safety- Need for Urgent Action’ to be organized under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- 2021. The webinar will be held under the chairmanship of the Union Minister Nitin Gatkari.
Speaking to the media persons, President of the foundation Anirudh Gupta said, “We will share highlighting points thathave helped us achieve success in checking road safety at local level. This will allow the ministry to follow the suit at the national level to deal the road calamities. For instance, our successful campaign through catchy ephithet ye Diwali, helmet wali (acquiring helmets on this Diwali festival) if launched at national level can do wonders to realize the real goal of road safety”.
The concerted efforts made by our organisation for three years for sensitizing the public through painting competitions, bike rallies, helmet distribution ceremony has been shared extensively by the Ministry on its Facebook Page, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Transport secretaries and stakeholders of all the states will participate in the national webinar to be organized by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on road safety. During this, Anirudh Gupta of the Foundation will present his views through PPT in the six minutes time slot allotted to the participants.
