Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu takes up issue of opening of CGHS-III Hospital in Ludhiana
Writes a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Ludhiana, August 27, 2021: In a representation sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on August 24, 2021, Balkar Singh Sandhu, Mayor, Ludhiana has taken up the issue of opening of CGHS-III Hospital in Ludhiana.
He stated that this hospital is required in the city for Central Govt. Departments, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. and other allied departments of central govt.
Sandhu further stated that a case is in progress under Prime Minister’s Office vide PMO ID NO.PMOPG /D/2021/0172210 dated 31.07.2021 received on 12.08.2021, because of taking of the issue by my representative Dr. Satish Kumar Thaman and Anant Kumar (Section Officer ), Prime Minister Office, has addressed and forwarded the communication to Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi then to Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Directorate General of CGHS – lll ( Wellness Centre ), 545-A, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi and copy to Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, 545-A, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.
Mayor further mentioned that “on my enquiry, it is gathered that the issue of opening of CGHS – lll – (Wellness Centre) co-inside with Dr. G D Paliya, Addl. Dy. Dir. General (HQ) no. H.11021/17/2020/CGHS-lll, Govt. of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Directorate General of the Central Govt. Health Scheme (CGHS – lll ) (Wellness Centre) and A CGHS centre operating through Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Tagore Nagar, Civil Lines, Ludhiana does not serve the Central Govt. Departments, as Ludhiana is scattered in to 95 Wards being a big Mega City of Ludhiana.
He said he being a Mayor is interested that a full-fledged CGHS-lll (Wellness Centre) with indoor and outdoor Hospital facilities be put into operation at the earliest. He added that he will certainly try to help Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Govt. of India in case any suitable accommodation is required for opening of CGHS-lll (Wellness Centre) with indoor and outdoor hospital facilities.
Kindly look into the matter and pray start opening of CGHS-lll(Wellness Centre) in Mega City of Ludhiana with facilities of indoor and outdoor hospital on top priority basis, he concluded in his representation.
