MC Patiala honours Patiala Heart Institute
Patiala Heart Institute has also bagged the prestigious ‘Kayakalp Award’ for maintaining cleanliness within the hospital premises
Patiala: Municipal Corporation, Patiala has awarded an ‘Award of Honour’ to Patiala Heart Institute, Patiala for its commendable contribution in Sawachh Bharat Abhiyan for the year 2020. This award was presented to Patiala Heart Institute because of the continuous efforts the hospital took to improve the cleanliness not only within the hospital but in the society as well. Various ‘cleaning drives’ were undertaken by Patiala Heart Institute in Patiala and thereby contributing to the society.
Commenting upon getting the award, Mr. Dilshad Singh Sidhu, COO, Patiala Heart Institute said, “It is an extremely proud moment for Patiala Heart Institute to win the award. Besides offering the best medical services, we are equally dedicated to community services and will continue to do the same and contribute to society in the best way possible.”
He said further, “We feel that better living conditions for the city residents leads to less health problems. For a healthy life, clean surroundings are a must. It's everybody’s duty to keep its surroundings neat and clean. The Government and city’s Municipal Corporation are doing their bit but we as residents should also take up this responsibility and contribute in whichever way possible.”
As a healthcare facility, we need to ensure and promote cleanliness and hygiene and it should be part of our day-to-day practices. Together we can play a pivotal role in spreading the message of cleanliness and hygiene which further reduces the risk of various diseases and leads to a healthier society,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, Patiala Heart Institute has also bagged the prestigious ‘Kayakalp Award’ for maintaining cleanliness within the hospital premises and showing dedication towards the mission of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'. Patiala Heart Institute was the only private hospital from Punjab to win the Kayakalp Award to date and was awarded the same by the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
