MC polls- *First training of polling parties held at various locations

Ludhiana, December 15, 2024: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (DEO) Jitendra Jorwal motivated election staff on Sunday to perform their duties with utmost dedication and integrity.
In view of the upcoming Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections, along with various municipal councils and one Nagar Panchayat on December 21, the first training session for polling parties was conducted at different locations throughout Ludhiana.
Jorwal emphasized that officials assigned to election duty should feel proud of their important role. During the training, polling parties were informed about the entire election process, their specific responsibilities, and how to handle the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) among other electoral procedures. He noted that another training session will be organized, encouraging all staff assigned for election duty to concentrate on their responsibilities rather than seeking exemptions.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner urged political parties and candidates contesting the elections to inspect the EVM preparation process on December 17 to ensure complete transparency. This initiative aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process in Ludhiana.
The EVMs will be prepared on December 17 at the following locations:
