TEAMS TO REMOVE THE CAMPAIGNING MATERIAL IF PERMISSION NOT TAKEN; TO ADD EXPENDITURE TO CANDIDATES’ ACCOUNT IF THEY HAVE GOT CONSENT
LUDHIANA, February 20, 2018: Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has formed nine teams to check unauthorized hoardings, posters, and other campaigning material installed at the private properties in the city.
Divulging the details, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Mr.Satwant Singh said each team has been attached to all nine returning officers which has now even started visiting the city.
The teams would quiz the owners of private properties whether the candidate has taken permission from them for installing hoarding or posters and if they have taken consent, the complete details are being procured and the same information is being sent to returning officer so that expenditure can be calculated into the candidates’ account.
He said that if the candidate has not taken the permission, the hoardings, posters or other campaigning material are being removed from the properties.
