MDU forms Anti-ragging committee, releases toll free helpline number.

Rohtak, July 5, 2024: As per the provisions of University Grants Commission, anti-ragging committee has been formed in Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak. Along with this, anti-ragging helpline toll free number and email ID have also been released.

Registrar Prof. Gulshan Lal Taneja told that Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh has formed anti-ragging committee. Anti-ragging committee includes Dean Academic Affairs, Proctor, Dean CDC, Dean Students Welfare, Chief Warden Boys, Chief Warden Girls, Controller Security, Director Public Relations, President MDUTA, President MDU NTEA, Director Women Study Center, DC Nominee, SP Nominee, two parent representatives, one NGO representative, two local media representatives and four student representatives.

Registrar Prof. Taneja told that along with anti-ragging committee, VC Prof. Rajbir Singh has also formed anti-ragging squad and monitoring cell. Apart from this, the Vice Chancellor has also nominated nodal officers and anti-ragging counselors. He informed that the anti-ragging helpline toll free number will be 1800-180-5522 and the email ID will be [email protected]. Mobile numbers have also been issued to contact the anti-ragging committee, squad, monitoring cell, nodal officers and counselor members, detailed information of which can be obtained from the MDU website.
