MDU pays tribute to Dr. Mangal Sen

Rohtak, December 2, 2024: Glowing tributes were paid to former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Dr. Mangal Sen on the occasion of his death anniversary today in a programme organized in Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU).
Floral offerings were made on the portrait of Dr. Mangal Sen, and a memorial yajna was held on the occasion. MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh was the yajman in the memorial yajna.
Eminent Arya Samaji, Sarravdeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Pradhan Swami Aryavesh was the Keynote speaker in the programme. In his inspirational address, Swami Aryavesh said that Dr. Mangal Sen’s view- point and vision was oriented towards people’s welfare. He said Dr. Mangal Sen contributed a lot to the society and to the state of Haryana.
MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh in his presidential address said that Dr. Mangal Sen was a symbol of purity in politics. He underlined the significant role of Dr. Mangal Sen in promoting higher education in the state.
Eminent academician Dr. Sita Ram Vyas, speaking as Guest of Honour in the function, shared reminiscences of Dr. Mangal Sen, and threw light on the sterling contribution of Dr. Mangal Sen. MDU Registrar Prof. Gulshan Lal Taneja expressed the Vote of Thanks. Director, Dr. Mangal Sen Chair Prof. Surendra Kumar conducted the Hawan, and the memorial programme. Senior University functionaries, Head of Depts., faculty members, varsity officials, students, distinguished citizens were present on the occasion.
