Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) has been selected for financial assistance(grant) of Rs. 20 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan(PM-USHA) scheme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Rohtak, February 19, 2024. Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) has been selected for financial assistance(grant) of Rs. 20 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan(PM-USHA) scheme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The flagship scheme PM-USHA will be launched formally by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Feb. 20.
MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh said this shortlisting of MDU for special grant is really welcome as it would strengthen MDU's efforts to boost the development initiatives on the campus.
He informed that MDU has been shortlisted by the Project Approval Board of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the ' Grants to Strengthen Universities'(GSU)component of PM-USHA.
MDU VC Prof. Rajbir Singh expressed the gratitude of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India for shortlisting MDU for this developmental grant. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the education sector is undergoing a paradigm shift. He said that the visionary leadership of PM, and pro-developmental policies and this unique PM-USHA scheme will help the Universities achieve the goals of equity, access and excellence.
Notably, the digital launch of the PM -USHA scheme will be live-streamed in a ceremony in the Tagore Auditorium of MDU from 10 a.m. on Feb.20.
