You’ve watched thousands of moms from across the country dance their way into the auditions of DID Super Moms. You’ve laughed with them, cried with them and celebrated their victories! Now, the wait is over! DID Super Moms will reveal its Top 16 contestants this Saturday (June 22, at 9pm) and who better to cheer them on other than the gorgeous Vidya Balan.

Vidya was her chirpy self. While the rain gods were unleasing their wrath on Mumbai, Vidya didn’t let the rain faze her! After all what’s a little rain when you are out to have a good time?! Walking through pouring torrents of rain to get to the studio, Vidya happily posed for the shutterbugs under her colorful umbrella. The actress was apparently looking forward to seeing the contestants perform for the first time.

“Everyone knows the legacy of ‘Dance India Dance’ and after seeing the contestants dance for their place in the Top 16, it will be very interesting to see how they do when they finally get a chance to dance on-stage” said Vidya.

Vidya also went on to shake a leg with a few contestants and skippers too. What caught her attention though was Shraddha’s year old baby boy who has now become famous after sitting on the laps of every celebrity who has graced the show. The cute li’l infant seemed to as enamored with Vidya as she was with him. “He’s such a cute li’l kid!” cooed Vidya as Marzi handed the child to her. Much to Mithunda’s amusement, the li’l kid stayed put on Vidya’s lap all through the rest of the show!

For all you curious viewers, if you are wondering who the Top 16 are, here are their names and details:

Prince Ki Paltan has a very versatile group of dancers with hip hop dancer Radhika Das from Mumbai who entered the competition with the aim of becoming a choreographer. She feels that DID Super Moms will give her the platform to do just that! She is joined by Salman Khan fan Zoya Khan from Dehradun. Zumba teacher and fitness instructor Sindhu Rajkumar from Bangalore and Juliana, the energy powerhouse from Delhi complete the team.

Saswati Deb, also from Kolkata had to put her career on the back burner when health and family issues took priority. Gautami Sonar from Assam, idolizes Madhuri Dixit and wants to become a famous dancer like her. She is hoping that she will be able to achieve that through DID Super Moms. Post that, the cute li’l kid has cuddled up on the laps of every celebrity who has set foot on the show!

Siddhesh Ke Stunners really are one stunning group. Whether it is their looks, personality or dance moves, each of them get noticed the minute they enter the stage! What shocked the audience even more was that this stunning mom has a sisteen year old son! The master of all dance forms is how she is known to all her fellow contestants, but Phulwa Kamkar from Mumbai insists that she is a simple Marathi mulgi whose biggest passion is dance. Contemporary choreographer Jay Kumar Nair and his team Jay ke Jhakkas represent all four corners of the country! Manupriya Bhandari from Delhi hopes to dispel myths that people have about dancing as a profession. Though she teaches dance to children along with her guru, her family doesn’t support her. Ballroom dancer Cecille Rodrigues from Goa received a standing ovation from Marzi when she auditioned in Mumbai with a jive performance. Divya Warier from Mumbai only wants to dance to fulfill her dreams and make her family proud of her. This classical dancer has shown her versatility through her various performances in the audtion phase.
