Jalandhar, August 12, 2023: DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur has a long established tradition to stay in touch with their students, continuing the tradition, the school’s staff members and the students welcomed one of the proud alumni Gunjan to the session named – How to Crack the Competitive Exam?- under Meet The Mentor Programme.
The event started with the green welcome of the alumni cum speaker Ms. Gunjan with whom the school has innumerable memories which truly justified the years which she spent in the esteemed institution as she has a deep connection with the school right from class Nursery to 12th. Having her as a special speaker in the school was like bringing a sea of emotions. Her academic performance and establishments are par excellence. She has done her graduation in Chemistry Honours from prestigious St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. She was the topper of IIT Jam exam (TIFER). Now she is pursuing Ph D. from TATA Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai.
She in her interaction with the present 12th std students talked about the helter skelter every student has to go through during and after class 12th. She, being a good orator, could connect with the students really well. She spoke on stress and time management. She generously shared many significant incidents of her life which taught very trivial but very important lessons. She gave the quick remedies and techniques to the naïve students that how can they make their preparation test oriented by practicing from the previous year question papers and appearing in more and more of mock tests. She rather inspired the students to get double sure about going abroad for further studies by providing them with ample opportunities available here in our own country. Lastly, she guided the students about grabbing the opportunity at right time and making the right choices. After that, she answered the queries of the students so organically and confidently.
Principal, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir was overwhelmed at her presence in the school premises. He presented a token of remembrance to her and congratulated and appreciated the resource person for such an outstanding and informative session and wished her good luck for the bright future on that momentous occasion.
