'Meet the Mentor' Session with Alumnus Snehal Sobti

Jalandhar, March 02, 2025: Wi-fi club of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, organized an insightful 'Meet the Mentor' session, welcoming its esteemed alumnus, Snehal Sobti, who interacted with Class 9 students** and shared valuable guidance on academics and career planning.
A brilliant scholar, Snehal Sobti secured 97% in his 12th grade and achieved an impressive JEE Mains rank of 5000 out of 10 lakh students. His academic excellence led him to secure admission offers from top universities in Canada and the U.S., including the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University of Southern California, and McGill University. He is currently pursuing Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, where he has consistently featured on the Dean’s Honours List for all three years. He is set to graduate in 2026 and is presently working as a Software Engineer Intern at Huawei Technologies Canada.
During the session, Snehal Sobti engaged with students, narrating personal anecdotes from his school days and offering practical strategies for excelling in board exams. He provided effective tips and techniques for JEE preparation, emphasizing the importance of concept clarity, time management, and consistent practice.
Beyond academics, he shared success mantras to help students step out of their comfort zones, strike a balance between passion and career, and stay persistent in their studies. His motivational words inspired students to develop a growth mindset and approach challenges with confidence.
Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir expressed heartfelt gratitude to Snehal Sobti for taking time to mentor the students. He acknowledged the deep-rooted connection between the school and its alumni, affirming that DRV DAV is his home, and he is always welcome to visit.
