Meetings held with Trade Associations to Promote Invoice Issuance in B2C Sales

To encourage transparency and compliance in business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions, a series of productive meetings were held by Randhir Kaur, DCST and Shinee Singh, ACST along with other officers of Excise and Taxation Department, Ludhiana Division with various trade associations of footwear and shoe markers, harvester and tractor parts, electronics goods etc.

Ludhiana, October 5, 2024: To encourage transparency and compliance in business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions, a series of productive meetings were held by Randhir Kaur, DCST and Shinee Singh, ACST along with other officers of Excise and Taxation Department, Ludhiana Division with various trade associations of footwear and shoe markers, harvester and tractor parts, electronics goods etc. 

The discussions held around promoting the practice of issuing invoices for every B2C sale, ensuring a seamless, transparent, and compliant retail environment.

During these meetings, key stakeholders acknowledged the benefits of invoicing, including improved consumer confidence, streamlined tax compliance, and the prevention of tax evasion. 

Trade representatives committed to raising awareness among their members and fostering best practices in invoicing to increase the tax collection of the State of Punjab. 

Further a checking team led Shinee Singh, ACST checked the issuance of invoices in market pockets of Mata Rani Chowk, Chaura Bazar, Clock tower, Ludhiana.
