Members of Ahsaas- an NGO, meet Municipal Commissioner Ludhiana Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar

Ludhiana, October 12, 2018: Members of Ahsaas- an NGO, on Friday met the Ludhiana Municipal Commissioner Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar and apprised her of the campaign "Ek Kadam Swachhata Ki Aur" (a step towards cleanliness). The delegation also apprised the Municipal Commissioner about the problems being faced by people with regard to cleanlines. The NGO's members - Sangeeta, Lalita and Renu, said that in many places there was a lot of garbage. They, therefore, asserted that these garbage dumps be got cleared on daily basis. It was also pointed out that many plots were empty in many areas, people often throwing garbage here. As a result, the nearby residents have to face difficulties. In reply, Muniicpal Commissioner lauded the campaign being run by the NGO and assured to redress their grievances soon. She said said that they would ensure that the vacant plots must have boundary walls and gates at the entry. Notices to the vacant plot owners would be served soon, she assured.
