'Mera Ghar Mere Naam' Scheme to be initiated in Municipal Corporation Limits of Ludhiana: MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi
MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi today said that district administration was all set to launch Mera Ghar Mera Naam scheme in the municipal limits of the city to provide property rights to people residing in the city areas. A meeting in this regard was held in DC office today and was attended by DC Surabhi Malik and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, besides other senior officials.
Ludhiana, October 13,2023: MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi today said that district administration was all set to launch Mera Ghar Mera Naam scheme in the municipal limits of the city to provide property rights to people residing in the city areas. A meeting in this regard was held in DC office today and was attended by DC Surabhi Malik and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, besides other senior officials.
The MLA said that earlier the scheme was already underway in various Tehsils of the District, which will now be started in the Municipal Corporation Limits of Ludhiana as well.
Giving more details, the MLA said that the revenue verification and drone survey would be conducted in coming days in revenue villages falling in his constituency comprising Haibowal Kalan, Jawaddi, Sunet under this scheme. After the completion of this survey residents will get property rights, he added.
Pointing out further, deputy commissioner Surabhi Malik stated that the Mera Ghar Mere Naam scheme aims to provide Property Rights to the residents who are residing within the Lal Laqir areas where the Land Record has not been created. Absence of Land Record is a hindrance when it comes to sale of such property or while seeking a loan etc on such property, she added.
The DC also said that the Scheme has been enabled by the eactment of the Punjab Abadi Deh Act, 2021.
During the meeting Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sandeep Rishi said that for this mammoth exercise, the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana would provide human resources to enable speedy completion of the task as Ludhiana Urban being heavily populated requires the assistance of all available resources.
It was further decided to implement the scheme in a time bound manner as provided for in the Act of 2021 and the regular reviews to be held so that proper monitoring of the same can be done.
