MERITORIOUS STUDENTS TO GET CHEAPER AND QUALITY TECHNICAL EDUCATION UNDER CM'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: LUDHIANA DC

LUDHIANA, May 17, 2018: To provide cheaper and quality technical education to the meritorious students, the girl students can get the fee waiver from 70 to 100 percent in Government Polytechnic Colleges (Girls) under the Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme.

Disclosing about the program, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said that Punjab government has initiated this program for the brilliant students so that they can be provided job oriented education and training.

He said that under the scheme, 70 percent fee waiver would be for the students in 10th class, scoring 60 to 70 percent marks, 80 percent fee waiver for students scoring 70 to 80 percent marks, 90 percent fee waiver for students scoring 80 to 90 percent and students scoring 90 to 100 percent marks would get the full fee waiver.

DC stated that the online registration has already started from May 10 till June 11 and for kind of information regarding admission or course, interested students can contact held desk at the college or can contact on 0161-2303223 or 98720-84786.

Agrawal said that meritorious girl students hailing from poor, needy sections and having domicile of Punjab could avail this facility.

He stated that in Ludhiana's only Government Polytechnic College, students can take admission in three-year diploma courses in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Garment Manufacturing Technology, Fashion Design and Diploma in Modern Office Practices.

Agrawal informed that students must come forward to take advantage of this golden opportunity in polytechnic colleges.
