Chandigarh, August 16, 2013: The Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Punjab today signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian School of Business to work on the areas of professional excellence.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Rakesh Singh, Chief Secretary Punjab.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of the Punjab Government said that Kripa Shankar Saroj, IAS, Director, MGSIPA and Pradeep Singh, CEO, ISB, Mohali Campus and Deputy Dean from ISB have signed the MoU.

Rakesh Singh Chief Secretary Punjab appreciated the MGSIPA's efforts for starting a new chapter by signing MoU with ISB – a professional organisation.  He said that Indian School of Business is the premier management institute in the country and co ordination with it would help the officers of Punjab to acquire new skills which would further enhance their professional capacity and capabilities. 

Speaking on the occasion, C. Roul, IAS, Director General, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration said that the objectives of signing of MoU is exchange of faculty, research scholars and graduate students; Hosting of visiting delegations; Joint research activities; Participation in seminars and academic meetings ; Exchange of relevant publications and Reciprocal use of each other  infrastructural facilities.

Ajit Rangnekar, Dean, ISB has informed that as per the MoU signed with Punjab Government, they have the mandate to conduct 100 man days Executive Development Programmes for the selected Punjab Government officers.  Signing MoU with MGSIPA would give a platform to government officials to utilise their expertise in a very professional manner.

D.N.V. Kumara Guru, Director (External Relations) and Madanjit Randhawa, Manager (Administration) from ISB and Dr. R.K.Sharma, Incharge (Trg) Dr. P.V.Rao, Librarian, Vinod Kumar Sharma, Ad.O all from MGSIPA were also present during the event.
