Mining team raids in Boothgarh, impound three vehicles and imposed Rs 2.5 lakh penalty
A team of the mining department conducted a raid in Boothgarh and Raur villages and seized three vehicles including two tippers and one tractor trolley carrying illegally mined sand and etc.
Ludhiana, June 3, 2024: A team of the mining department conducted a raid in Boothgarh and Raur villages and seized three vehicles including two tippers and one tractor trolley carrying illegally mined sand and etc.
The team immediately impounded the vehicles and issued challans under rule 74/75 of Punjab Minor Mineral Rules 2013. A penalty of Rs 2.5 lakh has been recovered from the persons involved.
A spokesperson of the department said that the drive against illegal mining would be implemented effectively so that no one was able to take the law in their hands.
