Ferozepur, October 24, 2012: On Tuesday evening, a speeding Jammu-Jaipur bound passenger train hit the vehicle at the unmanned railway crossing near Saidanwala village in Ferozepur.
As per the sources, a tempo carrying four passengers and a driver, was dragged by the speeding train for about 500 feet.
Four persons died on the spot while one serious injured, who was shifted to the hospital.
Immediately on getting the information, the railways and civil authorities alongwith the nearby villagers started rescue work.
The victims were yet to be identified.
It is a matter of regret that hundreds become victim at unmanned crossings every year and railway is slow to man all the railway crossings.
