Mission Fateh: Covid testing starts at three new places in Ludhiana: Mamta Ashu
Testing starts at community health centres (CHC) in Jawaddi, Subhash Nagar and Giaspura
Ludhiana: On behalf of the Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu, MC Councillor Mrs Mamta Ashu today visited the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Jawaddi area of city and issued necessary instructions to staff. The testing of Covid 19 have started at three CHCs located in Ludhiana, which are situated at Jawaddi, Subhash Nagar and Giaspura. She was also accompanied by SDM Ludhiana (West) Mr Amrinder Singh Malhi, besides several others.
She said that with the start of these facilities, the total number of government facilities for getting Covid tests done have become 6.
It is pertinent to mention that now, Covid sampling is done at the above mentioned CHCs along with Civil Hospital Ludhiana, Mother Child Hospital near Vardhman Mills on Chandigarh Road, Meritorious School near Nehru Rose Garden, here, Police Lines (for police personnel), Central Jail (for inmates/undertrials) and by mobile teams in containment/micro-containment zones.
Mrs Ashu said that to ease out the huge inflow of such persons at a particular place, three more places were added, where a large number of people are getting their tests done totally free of cost. She said that the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed to provide best healthcare services to the citizens.
Mrs Mamta Ashu urged the residents to visit their nearest government hospitals for testing immediately after they feel like having Covid 19 like symptoms. She said that people should also follow all instructions issued by the Punjab government, should wear masks, maintain physical distancing and hand hygiene.
