Mission Fateh: Monstrous form of covid-19 yet to come, people should not become careless: Dr Bishav Mohan
Says not only elderly and children, even youth can also fall prey to this disease now
Ludhiana: Dr Bishav Mohan, a specialist doctor from Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) Ludhiana today urged the residents to not become careless regarding COVID 19 as its monstrous form is yet to come. He said that the only way to stay safe from this disease is that if we stop its spread. He said this during a meeting with the senior officials of District and Police Administration at Police Lines, here today.
While warning the people, Dr Bishav Mohan said that the extent at which this disease is spreading, we should all understand that now it would not only affect elderly and children, but even youngsters can fall prey to it now. He said that during research regarding this disease globally, it has come to notice that now even youngsters can fall prey to it in India.
He said that as Ludhiana is a big district population wise, the situation here can get damaging if people do not make themselves aware and follow all directions issued by the Punjab government and health department.
Dr Mohan said that some people have this misconception that they are healthy and strong and that they cannot fall prey to COVID 19, which is totally wrong. He said that the need of this hour is that people should wear masks, wash hands regularly, do not go out of their homes without work, should not hold big gatherings and maintain social distancing. He said that the need of the hour is that maximum number of tests should be conducted and every person should work as a volunteer against this disease. He said that people from all sections of society should educate everyone around them.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal thanked Dr Bishav Mohan and Dr Rajesh Mahajan and also assured that they would take all necessary steps to keep people of Ludhiana safe. A three member committee comprising DCP (Headquarter) Mr Akhil Chaudhary, SDM Khanna Mr Sandeep Singh and Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga has been formed to plan out activities to be carried out at ground level.
