Mission Ghar Ghar Rozgar: Facing odds, Ludhiana girl secures Rs 12 lakhs package from Microsoft

Ludhiana: Despite facing the odds, a 21-years-old girl Jyoti Gupta from Ludhiana has bagged a Rs 12 lakhs job offer from the Microsoft company under the Punjab Government’s flagship Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission.
Jyoti Gupta, a student of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College had applied for a job at ‘High End Job Fair’ organised under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission by District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner (DC)-cum-Chairman DBEE Varinder Kumar Sharma and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-CEO DBEE Sandeep Kumar.
Divulging the details, Deputy Director DBEE Meenakshi Sharma said that Jyoti Gupta has brought laurels to the district by securing Rs 12 lakhs annual package from the renowned MultiNational Company. She said that Jyoti had cleared the online test and interview.
Jyoti’s father Advocate Ashwani Gupta and Mother Monica Gupta expressed gratitude to the DBEE through which she got her placement at a renowned company. Her parents said that their daughter had met with a tragic road accident in June 2014 which resulted in paralysis of her left side. “Despite facing the odds Jyoti had applied for admission at GNDE College to continue her studies,” they said.
Jyoti thanked her parents, relatives, GNDE College teachers and DBEE for their enormous support which encouraged her and she got a job.
Employment Generation Training Harpreet Singh Sidhu Employment Generation Training Officer Ludhiana and Deputy CEO DBEE Navdeep Singh also lauded Jyoti Gupta for grabbing a job in Microsoft and conveyed best wishes to her.
