Asks youth to become ambassadors of society
Ludhiana: In a unique push to encourage sporting activities among the youth, Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra on Friday inaugurated a fitness program in local Government College for Girls.
Addressing the gathering, he said that this would certainly help the youth especially girls to sound body by engaging them in this 30-minute daily fitness program.
He said that under program, that is brainchild of college principal Dr Sukhwinder Kaur, the girl students would undergo meditation, Yoga exercise and in other games daily which will help them to have good health and good mind.
Bindra told that this is need of the hour to promote the sports/physical activities among the youths which will empower them to excel in their lives and asked them to become ambassadors in the society.
He said the state government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Punjab emerges as a front runner state in the arena of sports under its Mission Tandarust Punjab.
He asked the girls to work hard in their lives and told that the state government is giving much attention to channelize their unbounded energy in a positive direction by engaging them in the sports.
He also asked the girls to focus on the study also along with the sports for comprehensive development of their personality hence becoming an inspiration for the others.
