MLA and DC interact with parents during Mega PTM at Islamia School
MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Saturday presided over a Mega Parents Teachers Meet (PTM) at Islamia School, Ludhiana wherein they interacted with the parents to discuss about their experience of this PTM.
Ludhiana, December 16, 2023: MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik on Saturday presided over a Mega Parents Teachers Meet (PTM) at Islamia School, Ludhiana wherein they interacted with the parents to discuss about their experience of this PTM.
Interacting with the media, the MLA and the DC said that this Mega PTM was aimed at providing parents an insight into the schooling of their children. They further mentioned that during the parents got to know the school teachers, course of study, their academic performance, their behaviour in the school besides other aspects of their lives.
The MLA and DC further mentioned that the teachers were also able to get valuable feedback from parents so that they can take necessary steps to improve system, if required. They said that teachers and parents play a significant role in shaping the destiny of children, hence coordination between the both can do miracles in the life of students.
During the meeting, the teachers also informed the parents about various schemes and programmes of Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government for holistic development of students.
Exhorting the students to never give up, they said that success and setbacks were part of life and those who overcome challenges and obstacles, always being remembered by the world. They said that students must imbibe qualities of hard work, determination and dedication in their lives as these were the key to success.
They reiterated the commitment of Punjab government to transform the education system of the state and said multipronged strategy was being implemented to bring back glory of the government schools. The government has already started focusing on empowering government schools in Punjab by ramping up infrastructure and recruiting teachers and other staff. Calling teachers nation builders, they solicited their wholehearted support and said the state government would make sincere efforts to make Punjab a frontrunner in India in the field of education.
Similar, activities were also held at different schools in the district where officers of district administration participated and interacted with parents.
