MLA Bagga and MC Commissioner kick start special cleanliness drive from Shivpuri area
Amid cleanliness drives being organised in the city, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal kick started special cleanliness drive from Shivpuri area (new ward number 86 and old ward number 88) on Wednesday.

Ludhiana, November 20, 2024: Amid cleanliness drives being organised in the city, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal kick started special cleanliness drive from Shivpuri area (new ward number 86 and old ward number 88) on Wednesday.
MLA Bagga and MC Commissioner Dachalwal also took stock of the situation and urged the residents to support the civic body in keeping the city clean. Corporation Sanitation Officer (CSO) Ashwani Sahota among other officials also participated in the cleanliness drive.
MLA Bagga said that all the areas of the North constituency would be covered under the drive and he has been regularly monitoring the situation at ground level.
MC Commissioner Dachalwal directed the civic body officials to regularly check the attendance of the sweepers and ensure regular lifting of waste and garbage. He said that cleanliness drives are being organised across the city and no laxity would be tolerated in this context.
Further MLA Bagga and MC Commissioner Dachalwal also appealed to the residents to hand over segregated dry and wet household waste to the garbage collectors. They said that the civic body is working to improve solid waste management in the city, but this goal cannot be achieved without the support of the residents. Further residents were also appealed to stop dumping waste at open spaces and vacant plots.
