MLA Bagga leads special cleanliness drive organised in North constituency to keep vector borne/waterborne diseases at bay

With an aim to ensure cleanliness and no water contamination, a special cleanliness drive was organised in Shivpuri (ward number 86) and adjoining areas of Ludhiana North constituency on Thursday.

Ludhiana, August 1, 2024: With an aim to ensure cleanliness and no water contamination, a special cleanliness drive was organised in Shivpuri (ward number 86) and adjoining areas of Ludhiana North constituency on Thursday. 

Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga alongwith the officials of Municipal Corporation (MC) conducted inspections to ensure efficiency and to resolve the issues being faced by the public at ground level. Civic body officials including Superintending Engineer (SE) Ravinder Garg, Executive Engineer Ranbir Singh, SDO Anshul Garcha, SDO Sandeep among other officials of MC health branch and O&M cell accompanied MLA Bagga. 
  
MLA Bagga stated that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led state government is committed to keep the residents safe from any vector borne/water borne diseases. Due to this, cleanliness drives would be conducted across the city.

Under this campaign, the first special cleanliness drive was organised in Ludhiana North constituency. All the sewer lines would be cleaned under this initiative and the authorities have been directed to ensure regular lifting of garbage. Eight desilt machines and two suction machines have been deployed in Shivpuri and adjoining areas for cleaning of sewer lines. Other areas of the constituency would also be covered in the coming days. 
 
MLA Bagga said that the civic body officials have been directed that no laxity would be tolerated in this regard and proper cleaning of sewer lines should be conducted to ensure no water contamination in any part of the city. He said that he would also be conducting inspections in the coming days to ensure efficiency and proper working of staff at ground level.
