MLA Bagga, MC Chief kick starts major project to construct road on other side of Buddha nullah worth Rs 5.83 crore
In a major development for the citizens residing in the vicinity of Buddha nullah, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal kick started the project to construct road on the other side of the Buddha nullah on Monday.
Ludhiana, October 14, 2024: In a major development for the citizens residing in the vicinity of Buddha nullah, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal kick started the project to construct road on the other side of the Buddha nullah on Monday.
Under this project, around 3kms long road alongside nullah from Haibowal main puli till Chand Cinema puli would be constructed at a cost of around Rs 5.83 crore. Under the first phase, the road portion from Kundanpuri to Chandan Nagar puli would be constructed.
MLA Bagga said that this project was a major challenge, but he was committed for taking up this project for the betterment of the residents who have been extending continuous support to him. No one took up this project in last around three decades even as the residents have been demanding the same for long time.
After Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took over the reins, they took up this challenge and the project has now been commenced. The officials have been directed to complete the project as soon as possible and ensure that there is no compromise with the quality of works, added MLA Bagga.
MLA Bagga said that this project will not only streamline the movement of traffic in the area, but it will also trigger development of the area at large. For safety of residents, a concrete wall has been constructed along the banks of the nullah. They would be monitoring this project on a regular basis.
Further MLA Bagga and MC Commissioner Dachalwal appealed to the residents to avoid emcroaching upon the road portion otherwise strict action would be taken against them.
MLA Bagga said that AAP led state government is committed for overall development of the state and more projects worth crores would be commenced in the coming time for facilitating the residents at large.
