MLA Chhina launch plantation drive to celebrate 'Van Mahotsav'

Ludhiana, August 6, 2024: To celebrate 'Van Mahotsav' and to urge the residents for maximum plantation, Ludhiana South MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina launched a plantation drive in her constituency starting from MJK Nagar in Lohara on Tuesday.
MC Joint Commissioner Inderpal among other officials of the civic body and district administration accompanied the legislator during the plantation drive.
MLA Chhina said that the plantation drive under 'Van Mahotsav' is aligned with the commitment of the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to encourage tree plantation for a cleaner, greener, and pollution-free Punjab.
MLA Chhina said that thousands of tree saplings/plants have been planted in her constituency during this monsoon season and strict directions have been issued to the authorities to ensure survival of the plants. She further urged the residents to take up plantation drives in their surrounding areas to promote greenery and ensure a pollution free environment for the coming generations.
