MLA Chhina, MC Chief direct officials to tighten noose against illegal vehras/labour quarters and other illegal constructions 

Ludhiana, July 16, 2024:  Ludhiana South MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Sandeep Rishi conducted a meeting with the officials of different branches of MC on Tuesday and directed the officials to act against illegal vehras/labour quarters and other illegal constructions being going on in the south constituency. 

The meeting was held at MC Zone D office and MC Joint Commissioner Inderpal, Superintending Engineer (SE) Ravinder Garg, SE Sanjay Kanwar, SE Parveen Singla, Executive Engineer Ranbir Singh, ATP Jagdeep among others were present in the meeting. 

Apart from taking action against the illegal labour quarters, MLA Chhina also directed the officials to conduct drives against illegal constructions and illegal slaughtering in Ludhiana South constituency. 

Also directions were issued to set up vending zones in the constituency, so that the street vendors could be shifted from the road sides and accommodated properly in the vending zones. 

MLA Chhina said that the property tax wing should also conduct a survey of the labour quarters and notices should be issued to the defaulters for the recovery of pending dues. 
 
Meanwhile, MLA Chhina and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi directed the officials to ensure proper sanitation and regular cleaning of sewer lines/road gullies etc especially during the monsoon season.
