MLA Gogi assured PAU Retirees’ Welfare Association to fulfil their demands

Ludhiana, April 11, 2022: Today a meeting of General House of PAU Retirees’ Welfare Association under the presidentship of Jila Ram Bansal held at Students Home, PAU Ludhiana Gurpreet Bassi (Gogi), MLA (West) and his wife Sukhchain Bassi graced the occasion.
In this function about 250 retirees took part. The demands and problems of the retirees/senior citizens were brought to the notice of Gogi who in his address assured that soon a meeting with the chief minister and concerned ministers will be arranged where all the pending issues will be discussed and finalized. The important issues include revision of pay scales w.e.f. 1.1.2016, senior/junior cases, master scale, reimbursement of mediclaim cases. The Deputy Controller (Local Audit) PAU sometimes does not obey the orders of the competent authority of PAU even of Vice-Chancellor/Board of Management.
Necessary orders be issued, payment of pension in time, restoration of PAU Hospital, opening of ayurveda dispensary in PAU Campus, setting up of a grievance cell in PAU.
Amongst the prominent who attended the function were Vijay Goyal, Charanjit Singh Grewal, Jaswant Singh Jassi, Narinder Pal Singh, Nitya Nand, Jasbir Singh, Inderjit Singh, Kamlesh Chander, Birbal, Sham Lal, S.S. Sharma.
