Ludhiana, February 8, 2023: With an aim to make the city roads safe for motorists, Ludhiana West MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Dr Shena Aggarwal launched a drive to lift stray cattle from city roads on Wednesday.

After launching the drive to lift the stray cattle at Hambran road, MLA also kick started the work to clean a major chunk of land opposite to sub-registrar's office on Hambran road. The cleanliness drive has been launched under the banner of 'Swachh Bharat Mission'.

MC officials stated that the drive to lift the stray animals is being taken up in association with the management of Govind Godham Gaushala and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The stray cattle will be shifted to Govind Godham in the vans/vehicles specially deployed for shifting the animals.
