MLA Grewal, MC Commissioner kick start project worth Rs 8.40 crore to construct four bridges (puli) over buddha nullah

With an aim to streamline movement of traffic, Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal kick started the project to construct four bridges (puli) over buddha nullah on Friday.

Ludhiana, October 18, 2024: With an aim to streamline movement of traffic, Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal kick started the project to construct four bridges (puli) over buddha nullah on Friday.

The project is being taken up at a cost of around Rs 8.40 crore and the four bridges (puli) would be constructed at buddha nullah points near Mahavir Dyeing, near Manjit Nagar, Radha Swami Santsang Ghar and near Amrit Dharam kanda point. 
 
Participating in the inauguration ceremony, MLA Bhola Grewal and Dachalwal said that this project will facilitate the residents living in the areas falling under the vicinity of buddha nullah especially during the monsoon season. They will not have to take a long detour for crossing the nullah. The concerned officials have been directed to complete this project at the earliest.

MLA Bhola Grewal said that the residents have been demanding construction of these four bridges (puli) for a long time. The previous governments had only made hollow claims and no work was done at ground level. After Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took over the reins and they came to power, he had taken up the matter with the authorities and the project as now been commenced. A road would also be constructed on the other side of the nullah which will further streamline the movement of traffic in the area.

MLA Grewal said that AAP led state government is committed for overall development of the state. Projects worth crores have already been completed in Ludhiana East constituency and more projects would be commenced in the coming time. Their focus is on improving infrastructure for facilitating the residents at large.

MC Superintending Engineer Parveen Singla, Principal Inderjit Kaur, ward president Anu Chaudhary, Bank Manager Dalwinder Singh, Amrik Singh Saini, Jagjit Pappu Grewal, Raj Grewal, Bakhshish Heer, Nidhi Gupta, Vipan Vaid, Bittu Pardhan, Gaggi Sharma, office in-charge Ashwani Sharma among others were present during the inauguration ceremony.
